Most of us are concerned about our skin and we constantly keep checking for new products in the market.I have a skin care regime which I have been following for months now and it worked for me.People always talk about 3 step process when it comes to skin care.Cleanse, Tone and Moisturise.

First things first cleansing

This is a very vital step in all skin care.Cleansing removes all the dirt that’s accumulated in your skin and keeps it fresh.Did you know most of the face cleansers carry paraben and do not have PH balance in it? I always reach for a product which has ph balance so that the moisture in our skin is retained.I use Avene Cleanance gel which is a very gentle liquid which helps you maintain the PH balance in your skin.

Scrub

I use Burts bees papaya scrub once in a week to exfoliate my skin. This gives me enough moisture and removes all dirt and papaya helps my skin to calm down.

Toner
Not everyone needs a toner. If you have oily skin and if you are exposed too much to the sun then you might need a toner.Do not overuse it.In fact, by using a toner, you are removing the natural oil which is present in the skin. Your skin gets extra dry even in summer if you use a toner.some are even allergic to the toner.I get red patches when I use toner.I have used toner for years until I met my derma.I realised how much I was harming my skin by doing so.My skin looks happy now :).If you think you really need a toner I would suggest to use rose water or vetiver water which is a natural toner rather than other toners which have alcohol content in it.I have heard good reviews about Avene thermal water and I am yet to try that.

Sunscreen
There is always a confusion in the beauty world on sunscreen and moisturiser.Which one goes first?Sunscreen goes first.Look for a sunscreen which has a minimum of SPF 15.we always think sunscreen should be applied once a day when we step out.Sunscreen helps you fight the radicals which are in present in the atmosphere.Sunscreen must be reapplied every two hours be it when you are outdoor or indoors.Look for a sunscreen which has gel based consistency if you have dry Skin or cream based if you have oily skin.I love Neutrogena sunscreen/Lancome Beinfait UV SPF 50+.

Day Moisturiser
This is a must step.Choose a moisturiser which is gentle and does not have a strong fragrance. If you have normal to dry or very dry skin use a moisturiser which is very rich.my skin is a combination one and I use Avene rich moisturising compensating cream.this works as a magic cream for your skin. It’s not greasy and gives your skin enough water so that it does look flaky. This cream can be used throughout the year.

I bet your skin will thank you for the surge you give it through this product.if you are a makeup junkie like me you can add this moisturiser to your foundation. This is a must step.Choose a moisturiser which is gentle and does not have a strong fragrance. If you have normal to dry or very dry skin use a moisturiser which is very rich.

Night Moisturiser
This the best time to treat out skin.our skin produces collagen during this period so we should feed the right products to achieve better results.use a product which has retinol as one of the ingredients.Retinol helps your skin rejuvenate and you will see a noticeable improvement in few weeks.Retinol should be strictly avoided during the day.

Retinol might cause some redness during the initial phase and it settles down gradually.I use ROC as a which has retinol and works wonder. It leaves my skin supple in the morning and not to forget your eyes.Use an eye cream which is creamy or which has retinol content.I have been using Kiehl’s midnight recovery eye cream.
